The Third Annual Latino Congresso started today at the Bonaventure Hotel.. John McCain and Barak Obama was originally listed as speaker, then "invited" and in the end their names were not on the final program at all.

Spanish Media was there, as was KTLA and the Associated Press.

The event opened with the leaders of the various groups outlining their agendas. The two main issues were Latino Voter Registration and Immigration. The have committed Five Million Dollars to getting Latinos registered to vote for the presidential election.

The speakers seldom used the term "Latino" constantly referring to "our community, our country, our world."
One speaker noted that "People do not say 'Latinos do not work,' they say 'they work and they take our jobs.'" The only problem with that, she claimed, was that "We are only taking the low paying ones."

Another speaker claimed "This is our country, we built it."

The first speaker stated that there were three challenges that any Presidential Candidate must address to win the Latino Vote - 1. Provide access to the candidate to Latino Leaders, 2. Make substantive proposals and 3. Make financial investments.

Nativo Lopez of MAPA spoke and said he new president must provide immigration reform within his first 100 days in office.

The leader of MALDEF spoke and said the new president must do four things his first 30 days in office.

1. Appoint a head of Homeland Security who will commit to not involving ICE in the 2010 census.
2. Sign and executive order stopping neighborhood raids.
3.Stop all 287G cooperation of local law enforcement with ICE
4. Appoint a Secretary of State who will work cooperatively with Mexico and Latin American Countries.

Other speakers called for the president to address "income inequality, criminalization of our communities, the war in Iraq and Global Warming.

They demanded an end to "indiscriminate attacks" on "their community and the end to the use of the term "illegal immigrant" as "no immigrant is illegal."

Outside a group of Americans waved the American Flag and help "Stop Illegal Immigration" signs. There were aggressively attacked by a group of foul mouthed young males on bicycles who tried to grasp their signs, and knocked over a flag. One was latter arrested for battery on an 80 year old American woman. (The "Elder Attackers" bicycle gang?)

You know if a person had a nice broomstick that also served as a handle for a sign, it could very easily find its way into the spokes of an assailants bicycle as you try and get out of their way....oops, what a terrible accidente? Que no?

KTLA channel 5 News' reporter was there with his video camera.  I have been looking for the "BIG" story of the day, lol.

The Spanish station was all over it.  While the female reporter was interviewing the poor weakling, illegal alien and the cameraman was filming, I got right in front of the camera with my JamielsLaw, Amend Special Order 40, sign.  The reporter told the cameraman to stop filming, she looked right at me and said in a very stern voice, "WAIT OVER THERE, I WILL INTERVIEW YOU NEXT AFTER HIM, SHOW SOME RESPECT."  hahaha!  When has anyone ever gotten any respect from the illegal alien criminal?

By the grace of GOD not any of our Patriots were seriously hurt.  Young latino males like to beat up on Grandmothers, why is that?  One young punk said something to the effect of, "I'm offended by the yellow sign (Stop Illegal Immigration) it hurts my feelings."  We were called the usual names by the "Tan Klan" (never heard those names before, yawn).  We did however; receive a lot of thumbs up, honks, and a good show of support from decent citizens.

Illegal aliens and their anchor babies have no respect for women in general.

Too bad McAmnesty didn't show up.  Well, it as an eventful day without him.  A group of about a dozen young Marxists started grabbing our signs and assaulted one person in our group.  How do I know they are Marxists... being called "a fascist", a "nazi" a "racist", plus the anarchy buttons, EZLN buttons, and a Castro hat are dead giveaways.  One guy said, "white trash go back to Europe", then he called me a racist.  That about sums up the intellectual level we dealt with today.

One police officer told me that those thugs ride their bikes around there all day long.  Get this, because the thugs are couriers.  I said I would like to know where they work and I will report them to their employer.  The police officer said, “they don’t have an employer, they work for themselves.”  Just like the illegal aliens at the DLS.  I wonder at tax time if the thugs fill out a 1099.  It’s the law to also declare tips as taxable income. Angry

They probably say, "taxes are bourgeois... they're for capitalist pigs" or some similar hippy-loser slogan.  Then they go and pick up their welfare check and food stamps for their anchor babies, both of which are funded by those so-called "bourgeois" taxes.

OG, after the event, I realized I still had your pepper spray.  I'll give it back to you next time we see each other.  Sorry about that.

That's more than a bit of an ironic thing to say, isn't it?  The obvious response was "I am.   I care enough about my hometown to come out here and attempt to take part in conduct that ensures the criminals get tossed out."

That's funny ... show some respect.  For what?  What is respectable about illegal immigration?  Either on the part of the employers or the laborers.

CATCH AND RELEASE, AGAIN.

After numerous complaints to the police, the thug was finally handcuffed and placed in the back seat of the black/white.  Officer Barrera (bald one handcuffing thug) spoke with the thug, and then released him.  Ray Herrera said "the only way the police will arrest this thug, is if we make a Citizen’s Arrest", which we did.  However, officer La Raza, let him go anyway.  Robin was furious; she went right up to Officer La Raza and told him she is going to file an official complaint, b/c this sends a message to these thugs that they can assault American Citizens and get away with it.  Robin, not only got his name and badge # but, Officer La Raza gave Robin his business card.  After the event, Robin and Ray went to the police station.

Thank you for all the great reports and pictures. The police departments are no better than our corrupt politicians. I really like the broomstick approach ThorHammer.
