Folks, be advised that border security advocating types are being summoned (prodded, coerced, etc.) to the following event:

http://www.saveourstate.org/vforums/showthread.php?t=41414

Let's stand up for a fallen American.  Jamiel Shaw deserved better than what an illegal alien and City Government gave him:  a violent death prior to adulthood.

This poor kid had everything taken from him only a few months before he was to embark off to college.  It's not fair, and more importantly, it isn't right.  We have to raise our voices loudly to make sure his death is not swept under the rug.  If Doug McCyntire and Walter Moore can take some time to bring attention to this situation, so can we.  Let's protest against Special Order 40!

Contact me for details.

Well, it's very simple.  I'm asked to organize something, I come up with the idea and make an attempt to get as many attendees as humanly possible. Everyone shows up, the purpose for which we gathered is accomplished and L.A. is a better place for it.  That's pretty much how I mapped this one out in my head.

Jamiels murder is difficult to contemplate... his Mother fighting terrorist in Iraq, her son gunned down yds from their home. Jamiel's murder is no less a terrorist's act than if a Jihadist bomb exploding in a crowded marketplace killing innocent Iraqi's. How desperately sad his Mother must feel, that a city in a nation she protects from terrorist is infiltrated with criminal invader terrorist, protected by an insane law, special order 40, which demands Police officers not question criminal invaders identity. Our congress needs to pass a law that states NO American City shall become a Sanctuary for illegal invaders and that Mayor's of cities and towns across America take a stand for legal citizen's and stop aiding and abetting foreign criminal invaders. Along with Cnn's Nancy Grace airing the names of American fallen in Iraq, the names of American's fallen by foreign invaders should be aired as well.... We have a war on our Southern border that is no less costly nor threatening than the war we fight in Iraq. I will be there to support Jamiel a fallen hero in the war against illegal immigration. When your grandchildren ask you what you did while your nation was being invaded, what will you tell them, I waited for the government to act, or I acted on behalf of the many victims of this invasion to save the future of America.

The Klan with The Tan is lynching black kids.

Sheriff Baca: Yes, Latino gangs killing blacks
Kevin Roderick • Bio • Email

Fox 11 reporter John Schwada has posted quotes from a video where Sheriff Lee Baca tells a mostly black audience in Compton that some Latino youths are indeed killing African Americans based solely on their race. From Schwada's blog:

LA County Sheriff Lee Baca, on April 4th, told a largely African-American audience in Compton that when Latino gangs are at war with black gangs over drugs and turf they are sometimes satisfied to kill any young black living in their rival’s territory in order to flex their criminal muscle...

Fox 11 News obtained a videotape of the remarks Baca made to the National Association for Equal Justice in America; those remarks, taped by Lonzo Williams, a cable TV talk-show host, were included in a Fox 11 story that aired Friday (April 10) as part of our continuing coverage of the murder of Jamiel Shaw, a promising LA High School football player, allegedly killed by an 18th Street gang member on March 2.

    [skip]

Here is exactly what Baca told the African-American audience in Compton: “I don’t say it’s all but there is a percent of these Latino kids killing blacks because of a race-related motivation. That is my opinion.”

Pretty explosive stuff. And then Baca went a step further, claiming his deputies had overheard jailed Latino gang bosses (so-called “shot-callers”) telling their followers on the outside that, in a feud with a black gang, it was okay to kill any blacks to make their point. “We’ve heard when the person out there can’t find African-American gang member to shoot, the shot-caller says: ‘Then shoot any African-American you see.’” (Jamiel Shaw's father was in the audience that day and Baca looked him straight in the eye when he made these remarks; but the sheriff did NOT specifically say if he believed Shaw’s murder was racially-motivated).

Baca’s observations put him at odds with LAPD chief Bill Bratton.

Police union vs. Bratton over Special Order 40

JamielA proposal to change the LAPD's controversial policy dealing with undocumented immigrants picked up a powerful ally today, the Los Angeles Police Protective League. The union, which represents more than 9,000 LAPD officers, said it is backing a motion introduced last week by Los Angeles Councilman Dennis Zine that would require officers to check on the immigration status of gang members suspected of being undocumented immigrants -- even if they are not under arrest.

That motion would change LAPD's Special Order 40, which restricts officers' ability to inquire about a person's immigration status. Zine introduced the motion after the parents of slain high school football star Jamiel Shaw Jr., who was allegedly killed by an undocumented immigrant, made an emotional plea before the council to amend Special Order 40. In a statement, league President Tim Sands said:

“Councilman Zine’s motion offers a common-sense approach that will give our officers a needed tool to remove dangerous gang members from the communities they are threatening. This motion will improve and enhance our officers’ ability to provide security in the neighborhoods where hard-working men and women, immigrants or native born, are trying to protect themselves and their families from gang violence.”

This is probably the first time the police union has taken a position on Special Order 40, officials tell The Times' Richard Winton.  Today's announcement pits the union against LAPD Chief William Bratton. The chief has come out strongly against the motion, saying it amounts to "racial profiling." Instead, he proposes providing officers with more info on Special Order 40, which he said is widely misunderstood.

There are plenty of other opinions on this touchy issue. On Sunday, the Times California section will have an entire page devoted to Special Order 40

Racial profiling?  Hardly.  It's occupational profiling.  You see a guy hanging w/ known gangbangers whose covered w/ gang tattoos, it hardly requires an observation of his skin color.
